Job Description:
A company is looking for a Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to
provide remote interpreting services to students in Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
Provide virtual sign language interpreting for students,
facilitating communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students
and their educators
Ensure clear and accurate interpretation of spoken language into
American Sign Language (ASL) during lessons and activities
Collaborate with school staff, educators, and parents to meet
students' communication needs
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance
Assessment (EIPA) or a Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS)
Level 3 certification
Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is
preferred
Comfort with using virtual platforms for interpreting
