With over 700 employees and growing, we have thousands of years of combined electrical utility experience to draw from when making a commitment to provide our clients with a wide range of electrical utility services.About this RoleThe Party Chief coordinates with the Survey Chief of Parties to ensure the scope of the job is fully comprehended, and that all aspects of day-to-day operations are understood by the survey crew.What You'll Do

• Ensures that all aspects of day-to-day operations are understood by the survey crew (Chainmen).
• Establishes a work plan to finish each task in a timely manner.
• Reviews all maps pertaining to each job.
• Sets up each job, utilizing the appropriate survey equipment.
• Locates and establishes site control using accepted survey mapping practices.
• Takes detailed notes and sketches of level runs, areas, and boundaries.
• Downloads and organizes all field data daily to Share file.
• Works a 4-10 schedule, Monday-Thursday, with overtime when needed.What You'll Bring
• Must have a complete understanding of the principles of Surveying.
• Ability to read and understand plans, Assessor maps, Tract maps, Parcel maps, Record of Survey, and field inventory maps is a must.
• Must be proficient with the equipment provided by the company.
• Must be able to communicate well with the public and clearly explain the scope of your project.
• Must be able to motivate, manage, and further the knowledge and skills of your Chainmen.
• Must possess basic algebra and trigonometry training required for field calculations.
• Must possess good organizational, planning, and communication skills.Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 2 Years of Field Experience OR
• 4 Years Education in Land Surveying OR
• A combination of the Field Experience and Land Surveying Education.Preferred Education and Experience:
• 2-4 Years Secondary Education, with emphasis in Land Surveying from an accredited program.
• 2 Years Field Experience.Required Licenses/Certifications:Land Surveyor in Training or Licensed Surveyor.Supervisory Responsibilities:1-2 Employees.Travel Requirements:Percent of time: 10-20%. Overnight required: Yes.Other Requirements:Given this position is subject to work in sensitive areas, satisfactory completion of a background check and clearances is mandatory.What You'll Get
