Position Summary: A talented Graphic Designer can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and other media. The position will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Click below to see what makes Penske great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gNxP04N06o Major Responsibilities: • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity • Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout • Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system • Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications • Client interaction, including brainstorming and visualization of an idea or concept • Other projects and tasks as assigned Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related discipline preferred • Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, Arts, or related discipline preferred • 3 or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency • 1 year of experience in automotive graphics design preferred • Ability to work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet customer needs / business goals • Must be able to obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects • Must be able to examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities • Must update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers • Must have a working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript • Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems required • Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software required • Must have strong organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Valid driver's license is required • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required Physical Requirements: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
